Iranian to serve on jury at MBff in Kazakhstan

Iranian filmmaker Mohammad-Reza Keshavarz has been selected to serve on the jury at the Mobile Blockbuster film festival (MBff) in Kazakhstan.

Keshavarz will judge films taking part in the 3rd edition of the MBff.

The Iranian filmmaker is a writer and director of short film.

This year’s edition of the festival will screen movies under the theme of “Spirit of freedom”.

The MBff is the 1st festival of movies captured on smart-phones in Kazakhstan.

The mission of the festival is “to direct people's energy into positive growth & development”, the website of the event reads.

The festival awards the Best movie, Best actress, Best actor, and Best vertical movie.

The movie that receives the biggest number of ‘likes’ at the Festival’s YouTube channel will win the People’s Choice award.

The MBff will announce its winners on October 15.
